Joseph B. Tyson, professor emeritus of religious studies at Southern Methodist University, in his book, The New Testament and Early Christianity, said it well, "The historian is not content simply with reading testimony, for he requires evidence..... It is necessary to distinguish carefully between testimony and evidence". How many christian "scholars" have forgotten to take this line of thinking seriously when it comes to BELIEFS narrated in ancient stories....... And how he could demolish an argument! PS Mark, I can't get the QuickTime link to play - I never have that problem normally. Any suggestions?Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05915321790428966922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5759844.post-43381808702145838862010-02-17T03:51:32.195-05:002010-02-17T03:51:32.195-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05915321790428966922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5759844.post-23316624327665385642010-02-12T11:15:23.548-05:002010-02-12T11:15:23.548-05:00Yes, it is necessarily brief. I will be looking around for other similar clips. For the fuller story, you could have a look at:

“Did Jesus of Nazareth Rise from the Dead?”. In J. Barton and G. N. The interviewer says Goulder lost his faith after his academic study of the NT, but Goulder says it was Susan Atkin's story.Danny Zachariashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09819589295672075138noreply@blogger.com
