In classroom discussions back in the early 1980s, Crossan used to describe the resurrection as “allomorphic” and the Gospel narrative redactors or those that worked with Jesus-tradition that preceded them, OT texts were understood in light of the new situation; “prophecy historicized” (as opposed to history remembered) differed little from the pesher-exegesis current at the time.
