Cat distractions

It's not always easy writing when you have cats around. But I think I've learned the secret of not getting distracted, as this picture, taken by my daughter Lauren, proves.

The same thing happens with me and my cat. It's best to keep typing, but when you have to move the mouse, the cat gets pissed.

This post is bound to trigger some sort of a response from Jim West.

Thanks, Brandon. Ha ha. Yes.

now that is a very very attractive picture. I couldn't write my stuff without Delilah, possibly one of the most well travelled cats in the cat kingdom, lying on my desk or keyboard inspiring what I should write.

Thanks, Steph. Kindred spirits! This is Memory, and she is often with me while I am writing.

Ha! what a helpful name! I love my cat - couldn't live without her! She is licking my toes as I speak...

:) She was already named that as a kitten when we adopted her from the Safe Haven for Cats. The name was ideal so we kept it; likewise her sister Rosalind.

Are they English? Delilah travels better than me, by far. She costs more than me, by far, too! But then she's worth more than me by far... She came from the SPCA. It wasn't hard to pick the right kitten. I knew she was special!

No, they're both American -- adopted them here. So they haven't travelled yet. Being in our house is a bit like being in England, though, with Radio 4 or FiveLive on half the time, and lots of British TV!
